卡若拉冰川位于浪卡子县和江孜县交界处，距离江孜县城71公里，从羊卓雍湖出来后，跨越4330米的斯米拉山口后就来到了卡若拉冰川的冰舌下。冰舌前沿海拔5560米，观看冰川的地方海拔约有5400米，山口南面6647米的卡鲁峰是年楚河和羊卓雍湖两大水系的分水岭，此峰周围冰川地貌突出。卡若拉冰川在山口北面5600米左右的地带，属宁金抗沙峰冰川向南漂移后形哎的悬冰川。由于长年受公路上的车尘的覆盖，此冰川整体呈黑白分层形态。
Karola Glacier is about 71 kilometers from Gyangtse County of the Tibetan Autonomous Region. You can even see this amazing glacier from the road beside it. Karola Glacier is about 5,600 meters north of the main peak of Karola Mountain. Due to smoke pollution from motor vehicles, the entire glacier is now divided into black and white layers, which gives a distinctive beauty to this masterpiece of nature. A breathtaking view of the Karola Glacier is an unforgettable experience.
